The Life-changing Morning Routine - Habits of the Most Successful People
What we all are doing in the morning right after wake up? The first thing turn off the alarm and keep sleeping up to your mom wake you, after mom wake you up, stay up scrolling on social media and get out of bed at the last minute and go to school or work.
It is really important to have morning routines that will help you to live a more productive and healthy lifestyle. This is what most successful people are following to succeed in their life. We are going to look at morning routines that can help you change your life to succeed. If you follow those easy morning routines, you will never be the same again.

Wake up earlier
Most successful people wake up earlier to get the benefits of the early bird. If you wake up early, you can feel your body wake up fully and if you wake up late, you will feel tired. Some studies say if you wake up early you can reduce stress which will improve your mental health and waking up early increase metabolism. There is more time to do more work in the morning time because of waking up early. It is really easy if you go to bed a little bit early, you can wake up early and get those benefits which most successful people enjoy.
Drink water first thing in the morning
When you wake up, your body is dehydrated so one of the first thing you should drink water. It is healthy to drink at least 650 ml of water right after waking up which will improve your life in the following ways such as improves the skin health, help weight loss, improve metabolism, increase hair shine and texture, inhibits kidney stones and bladder infections and strengthens the immune system. If it is difficult to drink plain water, you can add some lemon to it.
Meditation and work out
Meditation will help to relax your mind whereas work out will help to improve the flexibility of your body. Scientifically proven benefits of meditation reduce stress, control anxiety, promote emotional health, enhance your self-awareness, improve memory power, improve sleep and reduce blood pleasure. The benefits of working out or stretching are help control your weight, reduce the risk of heart disease, manage your blood sugar and insulin level, strengthen your bone and muscles, improve your sexual health and improve sleep. If you hard to find meditation and work out in the morning, you can stretch your body in the morning and you can do your workout and mediation during the evening time. If you are able to find the time in the morning, it will give you an advantage.
To-do list
Next morning habit is to set the goals or intention throughout the day which should be important to set one to three goals. If you write all goals or intentions of the day to be done, you will not be encouraged to finish those goals. Moring is the best time to set a goal for the day because you will be focused at that time and if you set the goal at the beginning of the day, I will make you get them accomplished throughout the day. If you have the habit of setting the goal at night time for the next day, please keep it as it is. It is up to your convenient time.
Have a wholesome breakfast
Most of us are avoiding breakfast or having unhealthy processed food which will give energy crush later on in the day. It is much better to have a balanced wholesome healthy breakfast that will keep you more energetic and fuller longer in the day. Having a balanced breakfast will help you control your weight, boots brainpower, and reduce the risk of illness.
Natural light
If possible, it is better to get outside sometime in the morning and get some sunlight. This is really beneficial to get vitamin D. In Asian countries it easy to get sunlight, that is vitamin D for free of charge. Cancer is a vitamin D deficiency but vitamin D is freely available in sunlight. The health benefits of sunlight include producing vitamin D, strengthening bones, lowering blood pleasure, and promoting mental health.
Get rid of your phone
This is the more important habit to stay off the phone especially on social media. We just started to check the phone then ended up wasting most of the productive time in the morning. If we came across any bad post or news on social media or news site, that will destroy our mood throughout the day subconsciously.
I am following the above morning routine over the past two years and getting the ultimate benefits to get succeeded. Since I am working for a UK client (start to work 1:30pm Sri Lankan time) I can be able to use all of the morning time effetely to get succeed. I start my day at 5 am and finish my morning routine by 8am. 2 years ago, I also started my day with a phone. After following morning habits, I feel lots of changes in my life in the sense of physical health, mental health, personality, performance at work, and income sources.
