10 Valuable SKILLS Every INTROVERT need to Master

There are two types of introverts: stable introverts and unstable introverts. Some people are really keen to socialize but they are scared to socialize (socially awkward).  They can not speak with other people in social settings even if they wanted to do so and stable introverts like to be alone but are not socially awkward.



I was an unstable introvert until 2019. I am an Ambivert now. (No one can be an extreme introvert or extrovert. The middle between introvert and extrovert is called Ambivert). I am going to explain how I become the best version of an introvert to be successful in-person and in-profession. Being an introvert may have some drawbacks, people often see you as unapproachable, unpleasant, or rude. Introvert people have great skills, if you master at below skills, you can be an extraordinary person with your skills. Today most successful people are introverts: Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, Marissa Mayer, and Elon Musk.

Skill -1:Self-discipline

Introverts spend most of their time alone with a lot of distractions. No one is there to stop wasting your time. If you spend your time with valuable skills with discipline, it will add value to you. In most instances, a lot of possibilities to divert to bad habits or additions.

Skill -2: Social skill

Introverts like to be in their own company, but there are lots of merits to involve in social situations. Since humans are social beings, we need to participate in social functions. If you would like to shine in your life or profession, you need to be an approachable person.  I was rejected by an employer in the interview by saying I am not pleasant and approachable.

Skill -3: Time management

If you are an introvert, you would have realized. When you are doing any interesting work, you care about other work or time. This will be a problem to complete the responsibilities related to life and work. You should block your time to do interesting work and other work.

Skill -4: Fake it till you make it

Introverts will express everything after making it and they will disclose everything after confirming that is 100% accurate. Because of that, they will lose most of the chance to perform at work or express their idea at meetings. I lost a lot of my ideas to express at office meetings that led me to not promote at work. If you fake confidence and express your performance at work or life, you can win your life. another technique is visualization. If you visualize how are going to perform confidently in a social situation, you can be able to perform confidently in a real situation.

Skill -5: Knowing yourself better

Introverts have more alone time. They can use more time to think about themselves and take action to make themselves better. Most introverts have stress and social anxiety. If you realized you have any emotional issues, you can take necessary action to control them. You can use your alone time to learn how to optimize your introversion.

Skill -6: Work on using the right body language

The introvert’s arms are folded across their arms; their lips face downward and their body turning away from other people. Most introverts have difficulties having eye contact with others. You need to work to use the right body language to be attractive in social situations.

Skill -7: Don’t feel guilty to say “No”

The introverts feel bad to say “No”. They think if they say “No”, others will think badly. If you really don’t want to do it, don’t feel guilty to say “No”. In some instances, they will feel guilty about how others feel, after doing something or say something. Extroverts don’t feel guilty to say anything.

Skill -8: Learn to forgive yourself

The introverts remember every awkward moment that happened many years ago. Those will always disturb them. So you need to compare yourself today with who you were yesterday and stay motivated all time. You can forget whatever awkward moments happened many years ago by comparing yourself today with who you were yesterday.

Skill -9: Public speaking skill

Introverts have many skills and different ideas but they are scared to express their thoughts and idea because of what others think. Your innovative ideas and thoughts are important to society. Public speaking skills will express your idea and help to reduce social anxiety and stress in public.

Skill -10: Schedule your alone time

Introverts like to be alone. When your friends invite you to a social gathering, you will be disappointed or you will hurt your friends by rejecting to participate in the social gatherings. Having alone time is a great thing to be a better person. At the same time, you should participate in your friends’ gatherings because no one can be without friends. So you should block your alone time and ask your friend not to call you.
